Hello Friends!
As I sit here in my favorite reading/writing spot, all I can think about is how grateful I am to each of you. I decided to become a yoga teacher on a whim three years ago, and I honestly did not expect it to lead me to where I am today.
I had big plans for this last year. I had started teaching in-person classes and was in the middle of teaching my first creative yoga workshop when the pandemic stirred up. At first, I was devastated that my plans were thrown out the window, then I realized there was still a place for yoga. I jumped on Facebook live to host free classes. The pandemic forced my hand into the virtual space, which I had avoided, but it has turned out better than I could expect. It has been fun to watch the growth of our yoga community. Thank you for being part of it.
I look forward to our virtual practices and can’t wait to provide more through different platforms. I am now teaching a virtual class through Zoom on Monday evenings at 6 pm Central. This allows us an opportunity to chat face-to-face and adds a layer of accountability. It is the closest to a standard class we can get. I am also teaching on Facebook Live on Wednesdays at 6 pm Central and Saturday mornings at 10 am Central. These practices are recorded live, but I do keep them up if you can’t attend. This allows the community to come back to a practice or pick it up at a better time.
I am also working on a plan to create pre-recorded practices and posture alignment/informational videos. I want to be a resource for the community. If you have any questions or suggestions, please reach out and let me know. Let’s build this community together.
Again, thank you for all of the support thus far. I can’t wait to see where this yoga journey will lead us.
